SPECIAL OFFER TRY DIVES ONLY £10 A SESSION A try dive enables you to try scuba diving in the safe confines of a swimming pool. You need to be 12 years or over. A try dive costs £10 a session, all the relevant equipment will be supplied, all you need is your swimming gear and a T shirt.
The Instructor will show you the equipment and explain its functions. You will then have the opportunity to put the equipment on and experience the sensation of breathing, the feeling of weightlessness and movement underwater.
I'm interested, how do I arrange one?
The preferred method of organising a try dive is to contact either Neil Brooks(07817 483816) or Mick Morgan (07531 777932) who will be able to book a time for you to come down to the pool and will be able to ensure the equipment and an Instructor is available. You can drop in on a Tuesday evening at Wigston Swimming Pool and ask about a try dive, but, no guarantees can be made that equipment or Instructor will be available to take you on a try dive that evening.
I loved that try dive, what next?
If you decide you want to take up scuba diving you will need to join the club. For more information you need to see our Treasurer Kathy Morgan who will be happy to discuss the costs with you. Once you have joined the club you will be able to start training, the initial course is the BSAC Ocean Diver.
